Blue was my favorite color when I was younger. I would often wear it as a contrast to The Twin’s choice of red — something in its shifting shades and variable hues always drawing my attention.

I have been struggling as of late, feeling “blue” — darker than blue actually — all over. It’s hard to admit that I’m not quite myself, even my writing feels disjointed like these aren’t really my words but the best ones I can find right now.

I have been blessed with exceptionally great friends and family and I am thankful for all the people who gave me a safe space to talk about these darker-than-blue feelings and have been helping me through it.

Taking a couple of days off of a stressful job, hanging out with good friends, and seeing the beautiful beaches of Kailua have definitely done me a lot if good. I’ll be back to posting regularly on Wed.
